I’m Olivia
My formal education is from the Stratford Chef School where I also completed my apprenticeship before entering the wonderful world of restaurants. After spending time on the line and operating various baking pop-ups I transitioned into recipe testing and blogging which I love! There is room for improvement in everything and that is beautiful!
At Home Gastronome is a place to share some of my favourite recipes, tips, ingredients and food facts. While I would consider myself a generalist in the kitchen, you will find that my passions lean towards bread, pastry, comfort food inspired by nostalgia and the seasons. I truly feel that sauces and garnishes can take a meal from good to great and so you will see lots of those here too!
